FAQ:

How do I book a session?

Please reach out to me at my email address christopher@photosbycz.com or fill out my contact form HERE.

What do I need to bring to a session?

We'll discuss the details of this in email or over the phone during your session planning. In general, you may want to bring any outfit changes you'll want to use for your creative session, walking shoes for between locations, a water bottle and maybe a snack.

What is the best time to photograph?

I love being able to capture photos in all different lighting conditions, however mornings, late afternoons, or even overcast days are best for outdoor photos. Indoor photos with studio flashes can be captured at anytime which makes them very versatile!

How do I pay for a session?

Your session can be paid for online with a credit card which is the preferred method. Other arrangements can be made as necessary via PayPal, Venmo, or Cash.

Can I order prints or albums?

Yes! You can order prints or wall art directly from your finished client gallery. If there's something you'd like that isn't available in my web store, I can likely have it made through my professional print lab.

How long will it take to receive my images?

This process can vary depending on the time of year and how busy the season is. I hand pick only the best photos from the creative session and apply careful hand edits to each of the final images. Generally, I will have images completed within two weeks and in many cases sooner.

Where do you normally photograph?

Most of my sessions are done in and around the NW Loudoun County area. Outdoor locations have included Morven Park, Blandy Farms, Ida Lee Park, and Harpers Ferry, WV. If an indoor studio session is what you're looking for, studio space can be rented in Purcellville, VA. Other indoor areas such as gyms and fitness centers are an option for my fitness/sports photography sessions.

Do you travel?

Yes! While I cannot always commit to travel inquiry, please ask and let's have a conversation.

Are you insured?

Yes! I have business insurance and can provide a certificate of insurance upon request.

How do you keep from accidentally losing or deleting client photos?

I employ several practices of redundancy that ensures the utmost safety of the images from your special day or event. If I'm not carrying two cameras already, I keep one as a backup nearby in case one camera body should fail. Likewise, I have multiple lenses that I can use during an event should one get damaged or become unusable. Each of my cameras has two memory card slots that records photos to each card simultaneously so there's an immediate physical backup. After the event, photos are immediately backed up to my network storage drive that also has redundant drives and eventually sync'd to cloud backup storage.

Do you provide the RAW or unedited photos?

I've been known to take way more photos than needed! However, be reassured that I'm only selecting the photos with the best lighting conditions, facial expressions, and compositions to deliver to my clients. Only the best photos are chosen from your creative session for editing. Un-edited photos are not available for purchase.

Do you work with non-profit organizations?

I have worked with non-profit organizations in the past. However, my schedule does not allow for unpaid work at this time.
